Hello Tripawd family!

Gizmo’s mom here. May 25th was Giz’s 13th birthday. Quite honestly, I wasn’t sure he would see another one based on his original prognosis. We felt we were so fortunate to see birthday number 11 after his amputation (that would place us at the 6th month of his 6 month life expectancy). It’s now been 2.5 years. Gizmo must have applied some complicated doggy math where 6 months equals 2.5 human years. Not really sure, but he’s pretty smart like that! Lol I’m posting a few pics of his day. There was cake, balloons, gifts, burgers & great friends. We celebrated his bff’s birthday as well! She’s a chunky lil puggle appropriately name Pudge. 😊

Gizmo’s “party bus”!

Hi everyone! Well, we finally found a suitable mode of transportation for Gizmo. It’s made by a company called Booyah & so far we LOVE THIS STROLLER! It was fairly easy to assemble & has a very smooth ride (even when going through our grassy field). It can be taken apart & put in the back of a vehicle for traveling. Holds up to 88lbs. Gizmo has turned into a full tilt diva & insists that I push him a 100 miles a day. 🤨

Here a just a few pics:

26 months & some change…

February 8, 2018

Hello Tripawd friends!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season & 2018 is off to a great start. Gizmo has just celebrated his 26 month ampuversary on Feb 3rd. I’ve been meaning to post pictures but we’ve been so busy cuddling, playing & enjoying life! I’ve gone ahead & posted pics below! I’m in the market for a dog stroller so that Gizmo can join me on my long walks. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know. Hugs & puppy kisses to all!

Gizmo was in surgery on December 3, 2015. He officially joined the ranks of some very special tripawd warriors. The vet gave him a very guarded prognosis & because only one round of chemo was performed, we were told about “6 months at best.” Well apparently in the dog world, 6 months is longer than the 6 months in human terms. He’s had a wonderful 21 months & I couldn’t be more thankful. Love you so much my scruffy muffin. Thank you for 21 months of amazing adventures.

Hi everyone! The human here. Gizmo is currently in the yard helping his siblings dig a hole big enough to bury a semi-truck.

June 3rd was Gizmo’s 18 month ampuversary & he’s either got life so good on THIS side of the bridge that he’s refused to give up his posh lifestyle or we’re doing something right in terms of his ongoing care. At any rate, he’s quite happy & so very loved. His prognosis was poor & we’d hope he would make it to his 11th birthday last year. He did. In fact, he loved his birthday party so much he decided to stick around a bit longer & celebrate another!

We’ve had numerous fun adventures and I so wish I could share them all but it would take a million posts! I’ll share just a few photos. Hope all you tripawd families are well & know that we think about this incredible community often! Cheers! – Anna the human.
